Haiti hit by Second Quake 6.1 magnitude – team confirmed safe
Wednesday, January 20, 2010 – Haiti was hit by another strong earthquake, just eight days after the previous one in Port-au-Prince which left up to 200,000 dead. The quake was registered by the US Geological Survey reports at 6:03AM ET and had a magnitude of 6.1.
CMAT officials in Canada have been in contact with teams on the ground and all members are reported safe and continue to operate in Léogâne alongside Canadian Forces.
On a happy note, CMAT team members successfully delivered a baby boy last night at 22:10 hrs.
